Charity Credit Action have identified various changes to tax and benefits that will affect everyone come the new financial year on 6th April.

They have assessed that over 500,000 people will be taken out of paying income tax due to the increase from £6,475 to £7,475 where income tax starts.

However there are an estimated 750,000 people that will now pay tax at the 40% rate as the upper threshold falls from £43,875 to £42,475.

With the end of the 2010 – 2011 Tax Year ending on 5th April 2011, you need to make sure that any outstanding PAYE tax and Class 1 NICs – postal payments reach your HMRC Accounts Office by 19th April.
